Personal: Tattoo time

The passed few weeks have been over-the-top crazy for me on every level, really. Don't get me wrong, I am certainly not complaining, on the contrary! It seems to me I have been jumping from one good thing into another over the last month or so. But there is this one particular thing I just have to share with you guys. Ready? Here it comes: Yes. I did it. I got inked this week! As you may know I lost my grandfather in April last year, so I decided to get a tattoo with his nickname on my wrist. I wanted it to be some sort of accessory to remember him every day for the rest of my days and a tattoo seemed like the perfect solution. This is by far the best gift my grandmother ever gave me, so granny, if you ever read this, thank you so much!

On the practical side.. I got the tattoo at Ritual, a piercing and tattoo shop here in Brussels. Antoine, the artist who tattooed me, did a great job putting my idea to paper. I wanted the tattoo to be some sort of bracelet with pépé handwritten on the inside, but I wanted it to be subtle and clean at the same time. I have to say I am really pleased with the result! 

Then, getting a tattoo hurt a bit, of course. But it did hurt way less than I thought it would! So in case pain is the thing holding you back, just man up and go ahead, because it doesn't hurt that bad at all(on and around the wrist that is!). The pictures below were taken the day I got the tattoo so my arm does look a bit weird and swollen here and there, but as soon as the tattoo is heeled completely I will post better pictures of it online ;)
